'Game of Thrones' Season Finale Breaks Ratings Record
Game of Thrones ended its sixth season with a bang, and reeled in 8.9 million viewers on Sunday to top season 5's finale.
Including all platforms, season 6 has averaged 23 million viewers per episode, 15% up from season 5. The network has seen similar increases every season so far, so the fact that the show is winding down would surely not go down well with them.
Season 3 and 4's top-watched episodes interestingly came wit episode 6 and 7, respectively. Since then, though, it's been all about the finale. And you can bet the numbers are only going to increase as the show looks to end for good in the coming years.
