'Gravity Falls' Series Finale Captures Highest Disney XD Ratings Ever

ZachPerilstein ZachPerilstein Disney Reporter The cartoon drama created and produced by Alex Hirsch has been a staple on Disney XD (Disney's secondary network formerly JETIX, and before that was Toon Disney), but is now over.

Last week's series finale gave Disney XD it's highest rated telecast ever. This comes as a shock because Disney XD has been around since 2009.

The show followed a pair of twins as they move to a mysterious town, grow up and come of age with their weird Uncle Stan. Gravity Falls averaged 2.9 million viewers according to the Nielsen estimating charts. Gravity Falls also gave Disney XD ratings highs before this in the 6-14 kids (1.5 million/4.1) and boys 6-14 (909,000/5.0).

In total, during the whole "Gravity Falls" takeover the series had 10.7 million unique total viewers, including 5.4 million kids 2-14.

Gravity Falls uniquely blends mystery thriller with hidden clues to keep the mystery simmering as the show goes on. The clues give fans more of an idea as to the overall mystery of Gravity Falls.
