Hillary Duff will return as Lizzie McGuire for Disney+ sequel series
Disney plans another reboot for Disney+ but this time from its Disney Channel library.
Lizzie McGuire creator Terri Minsky will serve a showrunner for the Lizzie McGuire sequel series. Hillary Duff will reprise her beloved role of Lizzie McGuire in a new update of the original series.
The show will be a comedy and it will revolve around Lizzie as a 30-year-old millennial navigating life in New York City. Additional details about the length of the series and if any of the other original cast would be returning is not available.
Duff launched her career playing Lizzie McGuire. Now the series will add to Disney+'s original content lineup. More is expected to be announced about the series soon.
