'How I Met Your Father' Spin-Off Getting a Second Chance
Spinning off of How I Met Your Mother, How I Met Your Dad failed to get the greenlight two years ago when attempts were made to continue the success of the aforementioned sitcom.
Now, it's take two, and Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger (This is Us) are penning the script, and the pilot has been put into development. Creators of the first series Carter Bays and Craig Thomas will not write the new series, titled How I Met Your Father.
Bays, Thomas, and Emily Spivey were the first to attempt the spinoff two years ago.
