'How I Met Your Mother' Creators Developing New Comedy for CBS
CBS is looking to How I Met Your Mother creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas to re-spark the comedy fires, with a pilot commitment to a new comedy series from the pair.
The untitled project will follow Izzy and Chris, two characters in their 20s raising their newborn daughter and merging their very loud families, one of them being Puerto Rican, the other Italian.
Bays and Thomas are penning the script, along with co-writer Chris Distefano. All three are executive producing. This comes after Bays and Thomas inked an overall deal with Sony Television. How I Met Your Mother ran for 9 years, and CBS are looking for similar longevity with the new project.
