Hulu to Start a Documentary Series Set to Spotlight Pop Culture Icons Such as Batman, James Bond
Streaming service Hulu has announced its Limelight Documentary series, an exclusive new line of original content which, according to Global Content Vice President Craig Erwhich has been in the works for some time now.
Erwhich views the new venture as "a great opportunity for Hulu's original line to grow." The series will kick things off with pop culture sensations Batman and James Bond. For Batman, the focus will be on discovering the "real" creator of the character. The Bond feature will explore actor George Lazneby, who left the role after just the one film.
Other projects for the series set up include a look at the failed Dana Carvey show, the origins of the hit MTV series Jackass, a Big Brother-centric series, and more.
Erwhich says that the streamer sees plenty of potential with the new venture, prepared to invest heavily to ensure it reaches its potential.
