'I, Tonya' Rounding Out its Cast, adds Caitlin Carver to Play Nancy Kerrigan
Caitlin Carver has officially taken on the role of champion figure skater and rival to Tonya Hardind, Nancy Kerrigan, for the upcoming biopic starring Margot Robbie as the disgraced skater. Directed by Craig Gillespie, it follows Hardin's involvement in the 1994 assault on Kerrigan right before the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
Carver joins Sebastian Stan, Allison Janney, Julianne Nicholson, and Paul Walter Hauser, and the film has already kicked of production. Carver, meanwhile, has credits such as Rules Don't Apply, Paper Town, and NBC's Timeless to her name.
McKenna Grace also joins the cast, playing a young Harding. Signalling that the film will alternate between flashbacks or perhaps might kick off with Harding as a child, It's interesting to speculate whether the film will flesh out Harding's motivation or simply imply that her will to win has always overshadowed her morals.
