Indiana Jones Still a Priority for Disney

HaydnSpurrell HaydnSpurrell While largely forgotten in recent times, overshadowed by Lucasfilm's other property since Disney's acquisition of it (yeah, you know what I'm talking about), Lucasfilm chief Kathleen Kennedy has implied that Indiana Jones still has a place on the production schedule.

Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg have both expressed interest and expectation towards another sequel to the adventure franchise, while Kennedy has also declared that there is plenty of intention toward it getting done.

Speaking with Wired magazine, Kennedy was asked whether she was interested in creating a new property at Lucasfilm. She said "I've talked about it with everybody at Disney. Alan [Horn, chair of Walt Disney Studios] is very supportive of it. But at the same time, he's right when he says we've got a lot on our plate. And then I'll be working with them on Indiana Jones."

Despite her overflowing plate that is Star Wars franchise films, Kennedy seems adamant that we can expect Indiana Jones on our screen in due time. She has an idea of when, but as yet that's not for us to know.
