'Inside Out' Writer Meg LeFauve Signs on to Co-Direct 'Gigantic' for Disney
Meg LeFauve is set to co-direct Disney Animation's Gigantic, alongside Nathan Greno. The adaptation of Jack and the Beanstalk was announced back in August, 2015.
The film is set for a November 21, 2018 release, and Frozen songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez will write the music. “We hope this will be the definitive version of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ … with comedy and deep emotion,” Greno said.
The story takes place in Spain during the Age of Exploration, following Jack discovering a world of giants hiddenw tihin the clouds. He befriends female giant Inma.
LeFauve scored an Oscar nomination for her script for Frozen, which she co-wrote with Josh Cooley, Ronny del Carmen, and director Pete Docter.
