Jared Leto Wants Another Turn as The Joker Following 'Suicide Squad'
Jared Leto spoke with Good Morning America and was outward about his hopes that Suicide Squad is just the start of his turn as the iconic character. A future with him in the role would make him the first actor to recur as the character in a film franchise.
“I feel like this film is an introduction to the Joker,” Leto says, “and I’m hopeful that we will see more to come.”
He adds, "I think you don't really say goodbye. I think the Joker's in there somewhere." There's a good chance Leto will get the call when it comes to Ben Affleck's solo Batman film, which is rumoured to take place primarily in Arkham Asylum. Which is essentially The Joker's playground.
