Keanu Reeves Racing Film Picked up at Lionsgate
Lionsgate has won the U.S distribution rights to Rally Car, the Keanu Reeves auto-racing film, at the start of the Berlin Film Festival.
To be directed by Oliver Megaton from a script by Jeremy Lott, Reeves is starring and producing in the picture. The film tells the story of a self-centered American NASCAR driver who revitalises his caree by entering an international Rally Car race across China, and in doing so learns the value of teamwork when he joins up with a young Chinese woman with driving aspirations of her own.
The movie will shoot in both China and the U.S. It marks the next collaboration between Lionsgate and Reeves, following John Wick Chapter 2, which is in theaters now.
