Lionsgate Acquires James Franco, Jack Reynor Thriller 'Kin'
Lionsgate has won the rights to Sci-fi thriller Kin, which stars Jack Reynor, James Farnco, Zoe Kravitz, and Dennis Quaid. The studio has purchased the film for about $25 million.
Daniel Casey penned the script, which is based on the short film Bag Man by Jonathan and Josh Baker. Reynor plays a man recently released from jail who is forced to go on the run with his adoptive younger brother, protected by an ancient weapon they've found.
Franco, meanwhile, plays a vengeful criminal, while Quaid plays the father of the aforementioned brothers. Kravitz plays a woman who rounds out the trio of runners.
