List of Cameos Surfaces for Star Wars: The Force Awakens

HaydnSpurrell HaydnSpurrell Warning, very mild spoilers follow.

Names of cameos have been spilling out recently in the aftermath of Star Wars: The Force Awakens finally hitting theaters. Courtesy of Screenrant, we have a list right here.

Simon Pegg was a cameo revealed a little while ago. He played the character of Unkar Plutt, an unrecognisable alien at the head of the Jakku trading post. His character took a particular interest in BB-8, spurring a chain reaction of chaos.

Daniel Craig played a stormtrooper, but one stormtrooper in particular. His is the victim of Rey's first attempt at using the force, convincing the guard to unshackle her and free her from confinement. It made for one of many of the film's more humorous moments.

Longtime collaborator of J.J. Abrams, composer Michael Giacchino traded instruments for a blaster, playing stormtrooper FN-3181, who brings Poe Dameron to Kylo Ren at the Starkiller Base.

Warwick Davis plays a pretty discrete alien named Wollivan, whose appearance isn't one we can recall. Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich played a stormtrooper as well, thanks to a favour director Edgar Wright owed him.

Last but not least, Bill Hader was revealed as the 'voice' of BB-8. The SNL alum is a surprising revelation considering the little had nothing coherent to say exactly, but nevertheless it's a fun little fact for us to know.

So a few familiar names get to fill out their resumes with a fun little addition, while fans can look for their favourite celebrities when they see the film for the first, second, third time. And so on.
