Matthew Goode is creepy as the creepy uncle Charlie

Although Colin Firth was actually cast (but dropped out), writer Wentworth Miller said he’d always imagined Matthew Goode for the role of Charles Stoker. Charles is the uncle India never knew. And there’s something off about him from the start. Something you’d imagine would be perfect to be portrayed by Goode — which it is. And it would be questionable if (nice guy) Colin Firth could’ve pulled off the same tense atmosphere as Goode did in some of the scenes with him and Mia Wasikowska.
