Paul Rudd moves to the country in Prince Avalanche

text Sam Thorne

Prince Avalanche is a simple but seemingly heartwarming comedy due in cinemas in August, from director David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express). It stars Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsche as two guys who take a break from city life and move to the country as they take jobs repainting traffic lines down country highways. Prince Avalanche is cited to be a return to the independent scene for David Gordon Green and seems to have a far greater emphasis on characters than plot. Paul Rudd is rapidly becoming one of my favorite leading men in comedy and the film seems like a refreshing change of pace from the land of dick humor and fart jokes. I look forward to it.
