Man of Steel 2 May Be On Hold Indefinitely
Den of Geek has come across a rumour suggesting that 'Man of Steel 2' is a very low priority in Warner Bros. plans for their DC franchise.
This comes in the wake of another rumour suggesting that 'Mad Max' director George Miller may have been attached to the Superman sequel.
With this most recent news, Miller's attachment to the franchise may instead be the company determining just which project is the right fit for the successful action director.
The news (if true) brings into question Warner's faith in the Superman property, given the lukewarm yet still successful reception that 'Man of Steel' received. It would come as no surprise if they decide to put Batman at the forefront of their plans, while also focusing their efforts on a rejuvenated Green Lantern film, among others.
The DC extended universe will officially launch with 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' on the 25th of March, 2016.
