'Manchester by the Sea,' 'American Honey,' and 'Moonlight' Lead 2017 Film Independent Spirit Award Noms
The Film Independent Spirit Awards have given out its nominations for the 2017 ceremony, with Moonlight and American Honey landing six nominations each. Kenneth Lonergan's Manchester by the Sea trails just behind with five.
Jackie and Chronic both round out Best Feature nominations, while Best First Feature has The Childhood of a Leader, The Fits, Other People, Swiss Army Man, and The Witch lining up. Best Documentary Feature nominees are 13th, Cameraperson, I Am Not Your Negro, O.J.: Made in America, Sonita, and Under the Sun.
The ceremony takes places Saturday, February 15, 2017.
