'Maze Runner' Production on Hold as Dylan O'Brien is Treated After Serious On-Set Injury
The Maze Runner star Dylan O'Brien has been seriously injured on the set of the final film in the trilogy, though conflicting reports make it unclear as to what exactly occurred. Production has been halted in the aftermath of the incident.
Some sources claim that O'Brien fell off of a train cab, while TMZ is reporting that the actor was run over by a car and has broken bones. 20th Century Fox has released this statement:
“Dylan O’Brien was injured yesterday while filming Maze Runner: The Death Cure in Vancouver, Canada. He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery.” (Via THR)
Hopefully the actor will make a quick recovery. The film had a February 17, 2017 release date, though nothing is yet known whether this will impact that target now that production has been shut down.
