Michael Shannon Officially Joins Guillermo del Toro's 'The Shape of Water'
Michael Shannon has joined Fox Searchlight's new film from Guillermo del Toro, The Shape of Water, with a cast that includes Sally Hawkins, Octavia Spencer, and Richard Jenkins.
Not much is known about the project, though it is a Cold War era drama described as "a mysterious and magical journey... with an otherwordly story at the center of it."
The film is planned for a mid-August commencement on production. Callum Green is producing and Liz Sayre executive producing.
