Michelle Yeoh Cast in 'Star Trek: Discovery'
Despite Bryan Fuller stepping down from his role as showrunner on Star Trek Discovery, things are all moving forward regardless, and the first actor has joined the series. Michelle Yeoh has joined the series.
Producer Nicholas Meyer brought the news. “I know Michelle Yeoh is in it," he said while talking with Coming Soon. Meyer direicted Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, and is a consulting producer on the series.
The new series is set about a decade before the original series. Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts are taking over as showrunners, while Fuller remains on as executive producer. The series will debut in May 2017.
