'Mr. Robot' Mobile Game Cracks Top 10 on the Apple Store

HaydnSpurrell HaydnSpurrell A Mr. Robot messaging game has arrived on mobile phones, published by Telltale Publishing and developed by Night School Studio. And it's jumped right up on the App Store a mere days after launch.

Based on USA's dystopian hacker thriller, the game is a story-driven messaging game that takes place in real time, said to span about a week in narrative time. As themselves, the player finds a phone that happens to belong to Darlene, and via the E-Corp messaging app players must navigate a dialogue system with in-show characters and influence events themselves.

“Fans of the show will be engrossed all through the night as they race to help fsociety pull off the unthinkable,” Telltale Games senior VP of publishing Steve Allison said in announcing the game. There are no in-game purchases and no data is required to play.

It currently sits in the top ten on the Apple App store.
