'Mr. Robot' Season 3 Delayed, Bobby Cannavale Joins, Sam Esmail to Direct All 10 Episodes
Mr. Robot has become an enormous staple for USA Network, taking the TV world by storm with its first season. Its second season was pushed into production, unsurprisingly, and critical consensus seems to suggest that it resulted in a product that, while far from bad, lacked the succinct narrative clarity that the first season exhibited.
Now, the network has announced that the third season of the series will kick off production in April, and will debut in October as opposed to a summer premiere. Sam Esmail will direct all ten episodes of the season again, and it seems he's been given just that little bit of extra time for Esmail to pen scripts and work out what he wants from the third season.
Bobby Cannavale has joined Rami Malek, Christian Slater, Portia Doubleday, and Carly Chaikin as a series regular. He will play Irving, a laconic, no-nonsense used car salesman.” B.D. Wong has been promoted to series regular.
