'Mr. Robot''s Second Season Adds Two Additional Episodes, Live Aftershow
Mr. Robot's ten episode first season was a surprise hit for USA, with a unique blend of writing, acting, and cinematography of the highest quality to make for one of the standout shows of the year.
So now, the fans are being gifted two additional episodes for the new season, upping the order from ten to twelve. Creator Sam Esmail is directing all twelve episodes, which was always on the cards. Hopefully, though, it was his choice to add two episodes to the season, rather than an executive decision.
In addition, a live aftershow has been ordered for the series. These have become popular in recent times through particularly AMC with Talking Bad, Talking Dead, and recently Talking Preacher. Game of Thrones followed suite.
The new show will be called Hacking Robot, though there is no host as of yet. Season 2 premieres July 13 with back-to-back episodes titled “eps2.0_unm4sk-pt1.tc” and “eps2.0_unm4sk-pt2.tc”, picking up 30 days after last season's ending.
