New Shortform Series 'Muppets Now' Officially Heading for Disney+

A new unscripted series from The Muppets is coming to the streaming service in 2020.

Kermit and the rest of the Muppet gang are back in Muppets Now. The short-form series will show the Muppets along with celebrity guests having startling silliness and heartfelt fun. Muppets Now will be produced by Muppet Studios.

An episode count and launch date weren't announced.

Another Muppet project has been rumored for months now although it hasn't been confirmed at Disney's D23 Expo. The rumored series is called Muppets Live Another Day and it would star Josh Gad and come from Once Upon a Time creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis.

This shortform series adds on top of Disney+'s other shortform content which includes One Day at Disney and Forky Asks A Question.

Disney+ launches on November 12.
