New Synopsis and Image Revealed for 'Thor: Ragnarok'
One of the most anticipated superhero pictures of the year is the third film in the Thor trilogy, Ragnarok, which is surprising not in the least because the first two films are widely regarded as being... not that good. But there's some serious talent behind the camera, and some interesting directions being taken that's putting this high on fan priority lists.
With Taika Waititi directing the film, and at many times indicating that Marvel has given him free reign to create the film with his own vision, Chris Hemsworth's Thor will team with Mark Ruffalo's Hulk for at least a portion of the movie. The newly release synopsis gives some minor details as to what brings the two Avengers together.
In Marvel Studios’ ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. Cate Blanchett plays the villainous Hela, while Tom Hiddleston is back as Loki. Jeff Goldblum has joined as the Grandmaster, and Tessa Thompson is Valkyrie, the Asgardian warrior many fans can't wait to see in action.
