Paul Walter Hauser Joins Margot Robbie in 'I, Tonya'
Deadline is reporting that Paul Walter Hauser has joined the upcoming biopic titled I, Tonya. The project has Craig Gillespie directing and Margot Robbie starring as disgraced figure skater Tonyay Harding. Miramax has the distribution rights.
With production set to kick off this month, and Steven Rogers' script good to go, the film centers on former U.S. Olympic figure skater, Harding, who along with her husband (to be played by Sebastian Stan) plotted an attack on rival Nancy Kerrigan the night before the 1994 Championships.
Hauser will play Shawn Eckhardt, a self-appointed bodguard to Harding and a close friend of Harding's husband. At the request of the husband, he organises the hit on Kerrigan and takes it further than intended.
