Penelope Cruz to Star as Donatella Versace in 'American Crime Story' Season 3
Academy Award-winner Penelope Cruz has signed on to play Donatella Versace, the sister of murdered fashion designer Gianni Versace, in Versace: American Crime Story. The casting continues the trend of high-profile actors jumping onboard the anthology TV format, for the third season of the series which saw critical acclaim for The People v O.J. Simpson.
Versace is the third season of the series, which will reportedly air very soon after Katrina: American Crime Story, which is the second season but which has been pushed back to 2018.
Ryan Murphy, Nina Jacobson, and Brad Simpson are executive producers on the series, produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions.
