'Preacher' Adds 'Breaking Bad' Composer
Composer Dave Porter has been brought back into the AMC fold, having added layers of tension to the brilliant 6 year-long Breaking Bad series. Now, he's returning to score Preacher, the upcoming adaptation of the DC/Vertigo comic series.
Seith Rogen and Evan Goldberg directed the pilot and are also executive producing. Sam Catlin is showrunning, with Sony Pictures behind the production. The 2-hour pilot premieres on March 14 at South by Southwest Film Festival.
Porter worked on all 62 episodes of Breaking Bad, on top of creating its theme. In 2014, he won the ASCAP Composer's Choice Award for his work. Currently, he's composing on Better Call Saul.
