Quentin Tarantino Plans to Stop at 10 Films, Considers Potential Projects

HaydnSpurrell HaydnSpurrell on the Bret Easton Ellis podcast, Tarantino has again mentioned his plan to stop at ten films, and intends on going out with a great film. To reach that peak, he has cautioned that he may go beyond ten if he doesn't pull it off with the desired bang.

At a press conference for The Hateful Eight, Tarantino considered at least four different ideas for his final two films. One of those ideas was the already-mentioned TV mini-series, Forty Lashes Less One, that would see him extend his Western fetish.

Killer Crow, a sequel/spin-off to Inglourious Basterds, was recently crossed off of his list, but he didn't rule it out this time. "Who knows, I could still [make] that."

Ruling out horror as a genre he'd be interested in delving into, Tarantino did mention that "it would be fun to do a '30s gangster movie, like 'Bonnie and Clyde' or 'Dillinger' kinda thing with the tommy guns and that kind of thing".

Whatever he goes with, and however many more films he goes with, they're sure to cause a stir and potentially divide movie-goers. The Hateful Eight opens December 25.
