Rogue One's Saw Gerrera Will Feature in 'Star Wars Rebels'
Forest Whitaker lasted far less time in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story than anyone expected, given the exposure he was given during the lead-up. Nevertheless, his character Saw Gerrera played a fitting but brief role in the film, and it wasn't the last we'll see of him.
The character will show up in Disney XD's popular series Star Wars Rebels, as revealed in the teaser poster. Gerrera debuted in The Clone Wars series and there's a huge gap between then and Rogue One that is ripe for exploration.
Whether it means we'll be seeing Jyn Erso as a young girl at some point is yet to be seen, though anything outside of Gerrera's appearance is just speculation at this point.
