'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Star Tom Holland Earns BAFTA Rising Star Nominee
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has revealed a list of Rising Star Award nominees, and one of those includes Tom Holland, who took on the role of Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, and will return to the role later this year in his own solo pic, Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Lucas Hedges also earned a nomination. He appears in Kenneth Lonergan's Manchester by the Sea, while Ruth Negga (Loving), Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch), and Laia Costa (Victoria) round out the nominees. The winner will be revealed at the British Academy Film Awards on February 12.
In the past, actors such as Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf, and James McAvoy have won the award.
