Star Wars Congratulates Marvel for Avengers: Infinity War's Heroic Opening Weekend

ZachPerilstein ZachPerilstein Disney Reporter Avengers: Infinity War dethroned Star Wars: The Force Awakens to become the biggest domestic opening of all time. The photo shows Rey passing a lightsaber to Iron Man. Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy wrote the nice note.

Avengers: Infinity War went on to make $258 million on its opening weekend. Higher than the projected estimates. In the past, The Avengers held the top spot for awhile before passing the honor to Jurassic World in 2015. That same year The Force Awakens surpassed it.

Remember Solo: A Star Wars Story and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom come out later this year. So it is possible we may see more congratulation notes passed around.

Disney owns both Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm.
