Stephen King's 'The Mist' Getting TV Adaptation
Dimension Television has latched onto 'The Mist', yet another Stephen King novel to get the adaptation treatment. With 'Under the Dome' recently being cancelled, something obviously had to fill that particular void.
Christian Torpe will develop the series. Torpe created the successful Danish series called Rita, and has experience developing programs for Showtime and AMC.
Read on for a description of the series:
… a seemingly innocuous mist that seeps into a small town but contains limitless havoc. From psychological terrors to otherworldly creatures, the mist causes the town residents’ darkest demons to appear forcing them to battle the supernatural event and, more importantly, each other.
In its earliest stages of pre-production, expect plenty of casting and other news in the coming months.
