The Flash to Lighten the Mood in 'Justice League: Part One'

HaydnSpurrell HaydnSpurrell We previously learned that Justice League: Part One intends to balance the darkness a little with some light-heartedness mixed in for good measure, following the tonally grim opening two entries in the universe, Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

During an interview with IGN, producer (and wife to Zack Snyder) Deborah Snyder mentioned that the film will feel lighter thanks to characters like Ezra Miller's Flash. "Justice League is a little bit lighter because some of these characters, you have Flash, tend to be a little more comedic, I'd say."

It's a curious statement given that Zack Snyder recently mentioned that he excluded Grant Gustin's CW TV series Flash because he didn't match the DCEU tone.

Snyder had this to say on the coming Justice League formation, which follows a film that focuses on two heroes who struggle with dark internal conflict. "One of the things that lightens it is having The Flash or having characters that are more optimistic. This movie is, in particular, two characters who are in a crisis of conscience which sort of draws them together."

Part One arrives November 17, 2017.
