The oddest friends are getting even in The Other Woman
Imagine a wife, a mistress... and another mistress... that can only get dirty, right? Well, not in The Other Woman, where Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton team up to get back at the man!
Carly (Cameron Diaz), a successful lawyer but still uncommitted to a man, is finally dating a guy who she'd like to introduce to her dad. They are getting serious and she couldn't be more in love, but then wants to surprise her date Mark (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and shows up at his house unannounced. Never a good plan. And instead of Mark opening the door, Carly meets his wife Kate (Leslie Mann) and discovers her months in love with Mark were all a lie..
Kate thought she was happily married, quit her job to support her husband and holds off on getting children, since she believes Mark is not yet ready for them. But when she sees Carly in a sexy plumber outfit in front of her door, she realizes she might be having an affair with her man! The next day she shows up at the law firm from Carly trying to confront her. But instead of going crazy with anger, she just needs a friend and wants to hear the truth about her husband.
As crazy as it all sounds, in the movie it makes perfect sense to see these woman connect and making plans to get back at Mark. They try to embarrass him in public, poison him and follow him to see what else he is up to.. And then they discover there is another woman! The young and good looking Amber (Kate Upton). When Carly and Kate stumble upon Amber, they decide to inform her and include her in their plans.
In the meantime, Mark is completely unaware about the situation and thinks he has everything under control. He notices some changes, but overall is way too occupied with himself and a big corporate scam to realize things are drastically changing. Until the 3 woman confront Mark all at once and he sees his perfect little life turn into dust..
The Other Woman is an original feel good movie for all woman who were ever betrayed, to deal with the situation, let go and move on and be happy again with the right persons in their life. The last minutes of the movie were perhaps a bit too corny, but overall the movie makes you laugh out loud and gently cheer for womankind!
