Universal Pictures Dates Three Mystery Films for 2018, 2019, and 2020
Universal Pictures has penned in three places on the calendar for consecutive years beginning in 2018 for mystery event films.
The dates are listed as August 10, 2018, January 18, 2019, and April 10, 2020. It'll be an enormous time to compete with the likes of Disney and Warner Bros., studios that have major franchises continuing to unravel over those years.
That being said, Universal do have their Jurassic and Fast and Furious properties that have no end in sight. An untitled monsters franchise film also opens April 13, 2018, and Jurassic World 2 June 22, 2018. More monsters will arrive February 15, 2019.
So what it comes down to is, nobody can really guess what these new dates are for, but we'll find out in good time.
