'Westworld' Concludes Season as Most Watched Debut Series for HBO Ever
Westworld is the hit HBO was praying for, and 2.2 million viewers tuned in for the extended season finale.
This puts the show 7% ahead of the previous episode, and including other HBO platforms, the show's first season averages 12 million viewers, making it the biggest HBO premiere season ever.
To be fair on the network's older shows and even Game of Thrones, HBO's streaming services were not available at the time to boost viewership. Despite that, HBO will be more than happy with the outcome, and in 2018 we'll see the follow-up season.
