'Westworld' Will Return For Season 3 on HBO
This news isn't shocking at all as Westworld has been renewed by HBO for a third season.
The science fiction Western thriller television series, that revolves around a Wild West themed park with android hosts. Although Westworld isn't HBO's highest rated show it generates plenty of buzz. Plus high delayed viewership led to its early renewal. Also not to factor in that it takes a year and a half to make a season of the show.
"It’s been an extraordinary pleasure to work with the exceptionally talented Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, as well as their gifted cast and crew," says HBO president Casey Bloys in a statement. "From the inspired storytelling to the incredible visuals, we are so excited to see where the next chapter will take us."
No date has been set for Season 3 yet. Most are assuming the next season will air in 2020.
Westworld was created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. The first season aired back in 2016. The show stars Evan Rachel Woods and Thandie Newton.
