What is Coming to Freeform?
The network formerly known as ABC Family, Freeform has been making some waves and trying to find new content.
Freeform President Tom Ascheim has announced premiere dates and the new shows that would be coming to the network. He would announce premiere dates for Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz's (Once Upon a Time) new show, Dead of Summer, which will reunite two former Once Upon a Time stars Elizabeth Mitchell and Elizabeth Lail. Then Marvel's Cloak and Dagger and Famous in Love, a show starring Bella Thorne and Marlene King, were given the green light.
Dead of Summer will be a 1980's supernatural horror drama. The most buzz around this announcement has been the Marvel show Cloak and Dagger. It will be the first time Freeform enters the Marvel Universe. The superhero series follows a romance of a couple that suddenly awakens with super powers. Famous in Love follows a college student as she gets her big break in a Hollywood blockbuster.
Also more news to the summer 2016 schedule will be Baby Daddy and Young & Hungry which return on June 1. The Fosters on June 20, Pretty Little Liars on June 21, and Cheer Squad on August 22. Guilt will debut on June 13. Monica the Medium will return for it's second season April 25.
