On the surface, Ted looks like a movie that would push the boundaries of comedy to its furthest. And at at times, that is the case. However, Ted pulsates to a rather sweet examination of loyalty and friendship — a trait unseen before in any MacFarlane creation. Of course, itʼs gut-burstingly funny. The jokes roll off the tongue in pretty much every scene — even during its subdued moments it manages to squeeze out a giggle. It could also be said that the movie features the best comedy character of the decade so far. Ted epitomises everything a man should be: a loyal best friend; has a free sense of opinion, and the nerve to make love to a woman with a parsnip.
