8. Anomalisa
Sad, gripping, and just about every other emotion possible crammed in. Even though the bar was set high for this film, Anomalisa passes with flying colors. It's a beautiful story and director Charlie Kaufman makes something that shouldn't work, work. He’s a director that always brings quirky and original ideas to the big screen, and somehow makes them click.
