Best Picture: Absolute Certainties

Gravity was an almost certainty for an Oscar nomination the day it was released. Leaving audiences in awe with it's harsh realism and spectacular special effects, it's an automatic shoo in for a nomination.
Steve McQueen's hard hitting drama, 12 Years A Slave, is Gravity's biggest threat. The critically acclaimed film could be this year's darling and will no doubt be a huge force to be reckoned with come Oscar week.
Having said that, David O. Russell's American Hustle could quite easily upset the party and come away with the gong— it is a very Oscar friendly film.
