Bradley Cooper in Talks to Direct ‘A Star is Born’ Remake
The original 1937 romantic drama has already been remade twice; first in 1954 and secondly in 1976. Reports are surfacing that Bradley Cooper is in talks to direct another remake of the movie.
Its been several years that numerous Hollywood executives have looked into re-making the drama. The movie looks at the story of a fading star, who helps a young woman with her own career. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bradley Cooper is currently holding talks about helming the movie if its green lit.
This would be an interesting career move for Cooper, who is currently Hollywood's golden boy after receiving two consecutive Oscar nominations (Best Actor for American Sniper, Best Supporting Actor for American Hustle) for performances that have cemented him as one of the industries most bankable stars.
Reports also suggest that he may also take on the lead role in the movie as well as sitting in the directors chair. Whatever path he choses to go down, it seems that Cooper has the ball firmly in his half of the court regarding what direction he choses to go in regarding this project.
