Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence May Be Heading into Space Together

JamesArthurArmstrong JamesArthurArmstrong The Imitation Game director, Morten Tyldum, is directing Sony Pictures sci-fi thriller 'Passengers,' a film that has been in development since 2009. It now looks as though Tyldum and Sony have found their leads.

Keanu Reeves had been long attached to star in the movie alongside, either, Reese Witherspoon or Rachel McAdams. None of those rumoured castings came to any fruition and it now looks as though Tyldum stirring the project into a new direction.

As the film's new director, Tyldum has seemingly decided there will be an out with the old, in with the new approach. His choices seem to be very popular with Sony, which could give this much delayed project a much needed boost.

Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence are in talks to star in the film. If they both sign up to Passengers, Sony Pictures could have a box office hit on their hands, if done right. Pratt and Lawrence are currently two of the most popular actors with audiences working today. It's strange how a movie that had been stuck in developmental hell for almost seven years could well become the next big sci-fi release.

Below is a synopsis for Passengers;

Passengers is set in the future on a spacecraft making a centuries-long interstellar voyage to a new planet. Due to a computer glitch, a single passenger (Reeves) awakens from cryogenic sleep 90 years before anyone else. Faced with the prospect of growing old and dying alone, he, in turn, awakens a beautiful woman.
