Could Matt Damon be Bourne again?
It's becoming a yearly occurrence to report on the possibility of Matt Damon returning to the Bourne franchise. Who can blame us? Jason Bourne and the Bourne franchise was a fast-paced adrenaline ride. So, it comes as no surprise that Matt Damon is seemingly open to reprising the role.
So yes, Matt Damon has gone on record and stated he is willing to step back into the shoes of Bourne again, as long as Paul Greengrass comes back to direct.
"It felt like such a good way to end it the last time, but having said that I love that character… and I’d love to see what happened to him." Damon said in a recent interview.
Damon has always said that the story of the trilogy wrapped itself up with the end of Jason Bourne’s search for who he really was, it doesn’t seem like he’d have a problem getting into gear again to find out what happens to the man who knows everything he’s ever wanted.
Obviously, this is just a statement from Damon and nothing is remotely in the works. But the thought of Damon and Greengrass re-teaming and giving us another action packed chapter is an exciting prospect. Far better than the damp squid we got from Tony Gilroy’s The Bourne Legacy in 2012!
