Jeff Daniels Joins Cast of 'The Divergent Series: Allegiant Parts 1 and 2'
The two-part 'The Divergent Series: Allegiant, Part 1 and 2' has scored a new addition to its ensemble cast in Jeff Daniels.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Jeff Daniels (Dumb and Dumber To, The Newsroom) will play the final book’s chief antagonist, David.
Lionsgate will produce and release Allegiant, starring Shailene Woodley and Theo James and based on the third book in Veronica Roth’s best-selling Divergent trilogy, as two separate films, it was announced today by Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Co-Chairmen Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger.
After the cataclysmic events in Insurgent, Tris (Woodley) and Four (James) enter a dangerous new world in Allegiant: Parts 1 and 2 that they no longer recognise. Part 1 will hit theatres March 18th 2016, with Part 2 following on March 24th 2017.
