Tom Cruise as hopeless romantic drone repairman Jack Harper

We meet Cruise (Jack Harper) repairing one of the many drones in the field. The field being an incredible but desolate place on our destroyed earth in the year 2077. He flies around in his bubble, helped by drones programmed to destroy the Scavengers on the ground. That’s why he lives thousands of feet up in the air, in a nice little over-designed penthouse — outdoor pool included.
