Focus Features move 'London Has Fallen' release date
The Hollywood Reporter announced that Focus Features has moved London Has Fallen from its original October 2 release date to January 22, 2016. This seems to be a move to help avoid the movie being crushed at the box office by Oscar contenders. The latter part of the year is the time when award contenders get their releases. It's new January slot will likely give the movie a stronger chance at earning money at the box office, even though January is normally full of dud releases.
David Fincher’s HBO comedy 'Videosynchrazy' pauses production
HBO has shut down production of Videosynchrazy, Fincher’s comedy series about the 1980s music video industry. The show, which had been ordered to series last month, was midway through production on its 10-episode first season. The series was reportedly in the middle of shooting its fourth or fifth episode when HBO, having seen some of the completed episodes, called for a stop. Some script retooling may happen before production resumes. Specific details about the show’s problems are unknown.

Disney's 'tomorrowland' may lead to an approx. $140 million loss
Sources say Disney's Tomorrowland will lose $120 million to $140 million by the time it finishes its global rollout, becoming Disney's first major financial misfire since The Lone Ranger. The movie cost $180 million to make with an $150 million marketing spend. After weak reviews and a dismal $42.7 million opening weekend, Disney couldn't even make the movie sell in China, where it opened to a lame $13.8 million. Despite it being a flop, few fault Disney for taking a chance. A rival studio executive said, "When a guy like Brad Bird comes to you with an original idea, and Clooney is part of the package, you'll take the swing."

4 Actors in contention for role of 'spider-man'
According to Wrap reporter Jeff Sneider, four actors are still in the running for the rebooted, Sony/Marvel Studios Spider-Man. The contenders are Tom Holland (The Impossible), Charlie Plummer (Granite Flats), Charlie Rowe (The Boat That Rocked) and Matthew Lintz (Kill the Messenger). As for the widely reported favourite for the role, Asa Butterfield (Hugo), reportedly, is out of the running. Marvel screen-tested six teenage actors, including Butterfield, in order to figure out who will play the new version of Spider-Man. It was after these screenings they whittled the actors down to four contenders. The new Spider-Man is expected to debut in Captain America: Civil War in 2016.
