We have become so used to expecting so much from Woody Allen. Throughout his career he has produced some real classics like Manhattan, Annie Hall and Zelig but Scoop just doesn't quite feel like an Allen movie. It's extremely silly, and even though there isn't anything wrong with silliness, it gets a little tiresome after a while. Rumour has it that Allen actually made this movie so he could remind everyone that he was funny. His on-screen appearance is the only satisfying aspect of this forgettable movie.
