Taylor Hackford Will Direct Robert De Niro in 'The Comedian'
Taylor Hackford (The Devil's Advocate) will direct Robert De Niro's passion project, 'The Comedian.' Art Linson scripted drama that the Oscar-winning actor has been desperate to make for years. Mike Newell recently signed up to direct the movie, but exited due to scheduling conflicts. The the picture will shoot in mid-January in New York City. With Hackford on board to direct, casting has begun.
